Salman Khan has reportedly taken the biggest pay cut of his career for his upcoming film with Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally. The actor, who is usually said to charge over Rs 120 crore per film, has reportedly agreed to work on SVC63 for Rs 70 crore. If the reports are true, this is one of the biggest pay cuts in remuneration for a Bollywood Superstar like Salman Khan. There are also reports that Salman may receive a share in the profits, though nothing has been announced officially.
SVC63 is one of the biggest films in Vamshi Paidipally’s career. The film is planned as a stylish action entertainer and marks the director’s Bollywood debut after delivering successful Telugu films like Maharshi, Yevadu and Varisu. Nayanthara is playing the female lead, while the makers are assembling a strong supporting cast. The shoot is currently progressing at a brisk pace in Mumbai. For Salman Khan, the film is an important project after a mixed run at the box office in recent years. The actor is looking for a strong comeback, and SVC63 is expected to be one of his major releases.
Top Tollywood producer Dil Raju too is keen to score a blockbuster in Hindi and he has pinned big hopes on this project. SVC63 releases next year during Eid and the team will announce the release date soon.
