Rishab Shetty’s much-awaited Telugu project with producer Naga Vamsi is reportedly not moving ahead as planned. Rumors suggest that the ambitious film has been put on hold due to scheduling issues and Rishab’s packed lineup. The makers also felt that the project is not viable because of the big budgets involved. The project was expected to be a large-scale action drama and was planned as a pan-India film with a Telugu director. Sithara Entertainments was backing the film with a massive budget, hoping to bring Rishab Shetty into Telugu cinema with a strong commercial entertainer. Unfortunately the project is now put on hold. Ashwin Gangaraju is the director of the film and Sithara Entertainments announced the film last year.
Rishab has also signed several other prestigious projects after the success of Kantara. He is playing the lead in Jai Hanuman, directed by Prasanth Varma, where he will be seen as Lord Hanuman. He is also associated to The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, in which he essays the role of the legendary Maratha warrior king. Both films require extensive preparation and lengthy schedules, leaving very little room for another big-budget project.
