Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Peddi has turned out to be a massive blockbuster with the movie recently crossing 400 Cr worldwide gross, and is already the biggest blockbuster for the actor. The team celebrated the film’s success, in the presence of Megastar Chiranjeevi as the chief guest.
Director Anil Ravipudi praised Charan’s commitment, saying the actor climbed mountains, endured physically demanding conditions, and pushed himself beyond limits to make the character authentic.
Director Buchi Babu Sana stated that while making a routine commercial entertainer is easy, creating a film like Peddi requires a performer willing to surrender completely to the character. According to him, the second half of the film features only Peddi on screen, not Ram Charan. He added that he would forever remain grateful to the actor for believing in his vision.
Sukumar echoed similar sentiments, saying Charan worked tirelessly on every scene and carried the film entirely on his shoulders. He described the actor as humble despite his immense stardom and called him one of the finest human beings he has known.
Ram Charan himself admitted that Peddi had transformed him personally and professionally. He said the audience response had been overwhelming and that seeing children and families connect with the film was one of the most rewarding experiences of his career. Charan also thanked viewers and reviewers for supporting the film and helping it become a major success.
“After this film, people may even forget Ram Charan and remember only Peddi. My daughter Klin Kaara used to call me Nanna, but now she affectionately calls me Peddi and Peddi Nanna. I’ve great respect for all the producers I’ve worked with. But, though it’s his first movie, Satish Kilaru dealt the movie like en experienced producer. We thank both governments for their support. I also thank Janhvi Kapoor and Shruti Haasan.”
However, the most emotional tribute came from Chiranjeevi. The Megastar revealed that he was deeply moved by his son’s performance and admitted that there were moments when he forgot he was watching Ram Charan and saw only Peddi. “As a father, I am immensely proud. As an actor, I am completely satisfied,” Chiranjeevi said, adding that winning the hearts of audiences is far greater than any award.
“When I watched Peddi, I was deeply moved. I was no longer watching actors perform or a filmmaker direct; I found myself immersed in the lives, struggles, pain, and emotions of the tribal community portrayed in the film. It transported me into another world. I congratulate Buchi Babu for choosing such an emotional, and motivational story and also for believing that Charan could do justice to it. Producer Satish Kilaru believed in the movie, and he must be appreciated for his guts.
Acting is not merely about facial expressions; it is about feeling the character’s emotions so deeply that they naturally emerge through the eyes. Charan achieved that perfectly. I witnessed firsthand the physical and emotional transformation he underwent for this role. At one point, he narrowly escaped a serious eye injury, and it was a deeply emotional moment for me as a father.
Ram Charan attended a conclave which was also graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Charan was hailed as the New Age Megastar. Today, nothing gives me greater happiness than witnessing his achievements and feeling proud as a father.”
In a unique way of celebration, the makers presented Peddi bats to the team, distributors and exhibitors.
