Ranbir Kapoor is starring as Lord Rama in the highly anticipated cinematic adaptation of Ramayana, which has officially commenced its global journey with a grand ceremonial event in New Delhi. Titled Pratham Sankalp, this exclusive gathering marked the first public unveiling of the film’s official trailer ahead of its worldwide premiere on 24th July. Everyone present at the event loved and lauded the trailer as the monumental achievement for Indian Cinema.
Producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari presented their ambitious vision during the event to take India’s greatest cultural epic to a global audience. They promised an unprecedented cinematic spectacle that respects the deep-rooted emotions and history of the story.
The evening celebrated the coming together of a formidable cast, featuring Sai Pallavi as Maa Sita, and Yash as the formidable Ravana. The event also featured surprise appearances, including Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, alongside veteran actors like Arun Govil and Shobana.
Ranbir Kapoor thanked Arun Govil for being the face and representation of Lord Ram. He stated that he would be happy to at least bring 1% on screen. Sai Pallavi stated that she is blessed to be part of such a film and it cannot be manifested but it finds you. She stated that Maa Sita blessed her with the role and she tried to be pure in her thoughts to make it feel authentic.
With visual effects by the Academy Award-winning studio DNEG and a monumental musical score by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, this adaptation aims to honor the timeless values of the epic. Presented by Prime Focus Studios in association with Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana: Part One is poised to be a landmark moment in Indian cinema when it releases worldwide during Diwali, this year.
