Nara Brahmani has shared an update on the health of her father, Nandamuri Balakrishna, after he underwent knee surgery at AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad. Taking to Instagram, she thanked everyone for their prayers and confirmed that the surgery was successful. In her post, Brahmani wrote that Balakrishna has already returned to his energetic self and will be back in action very soon. She also expressed gratitude to fans, well-wishers and everyone who stood by the family during the difficult phase, saying they were truly indebted to everyone for the overwhelming love and prayers.
Balakrishna sustained the injury while shooting an action sequence for his upcoming film NBK111 in Rajahmundry. After receiving initial treatment at a local hospital, he was airlifted to AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad for specialized medical care. Following a detailed evaluation, doctors confirmed that the actor had suffered a tear in the left quadriceps tendon, the tissue connecting the thigh muscle to the kneecap. The supporting tissues on both sides of the knee were also damaged. A multidisciplinary team then decided to perform surgery to reattach the tendon and repair the surrounding tissues.
According to the hospital’s medical bulletin, the surgery lasted for more than three hours. Doctors removed the accumulated blood around the injury, carefully reattached the torn tendon to the kneecap and repaired the damaged supporting tissues. The procedure was completed successfully without any complications. With Brahmani’s latest update, fans have another reason to be relieved. Going by her message and the hospital’s bulletin, Balakrishna is recovering well and is expected to return to the sets after recovering completely.
