Suriya’s latest blockbuster Vishwanath And Sons continues to enjoy a successful theatrical run even weeks after its release. Directed by Venky Atluri, the family drama hit cinemas on August 14 as an Independence Day release and has emerged as one of the biggest successes in the actor’s career. Featuring Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, the film has impressed audiences with its emotional storytelling, memorable performances, and music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar.
The movie has reportedly crossed the ₹150 crore mark at the worldwide box office and continues to attract strong footfalls, especially in the Telugu states. Despite the arrival of new releases, Vishwanath And Sons has managed to maintain steady collections, with family audiences continuing to support the film in theatres.
With the film performing well on the big screen, attention has now shifted to its digital premiere. According to reports, Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for the movie. Industry buzz suggests that the platform is planning to premiere Vishwanath And Sons around September 14, nearly four weeks after its theatrical release.
If the reported schedule remains unchanged, the film is expected to stream simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, allowing audiences across India to watch it from the comfort of their homes. However, the streaming date has not yet been officially confirmed by Netflix or the filmmakers.
Produced by Naga Vamsi under the Sithara Entertainments banner, Vishwanath And Sons also features Radhika, Raveena Tandon, Nassar, Sunil Reddy, Rajiv Menon, Harsha Chemudu, Kali Venkat, Deepa Shankar, Hyper Aadi, Mime Gopi, and Sarvadaman Banerjee in important roles.
