Ahead of its theatrical release on August 21, the team behind Ameer Log has expressed confidence that the film will strike an emotional chord with audiences across languages and regions. Lead actors MC Hari, Manoj and Sashidhar say the film’s strength lies in its authentic storytelling, relatable characters and heartfelt emotions rather than its language or dialect.
Produced by Madhavi Reddy Soma under the Awwal Number Productions banner and directed by Ramana Reddy Soma, Ameer Log features MC Hari, Manoj and Sashidhar in the lead roles, alongside Vedha Jalandhar, Ravan Nittooru, Vishwender Reddy and Saiyogi. The film will be released in Telugu by Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media.
Speaking during the film’s promotions, the actors described Ameer Log as a deeply rooted Hyderabad story that captures the everyday life of a basti with honesty and realism. They revealed that a major portion of the film was shot in the director’s mother-in-law’s house, located in a real Hyderabad locality, where residents warmly welcomed and supported the team throughout the schedule.
The actors also highlighted that the film was shot almost entirely using sync sound, making the production process more demanding. Even minor background noises, including passing aircraft or air conditioner sounds, forced the team to pause filming. Only a small portion of the road sequences required dubbing later.
Having grown up in similar neighbourhoods, the lead actors said they found it easy to portray the Telangana dialect and the lifestyle of the characters. They believe the performances feel natural because the roles closely resemble people they have encountered in real life.
One of the film’s unique elements is its recurring connection to biryani. According to the actors, the story revolves around it in an unexpected way. They describe the first half as carrying the aroma of biryani, the second half as delivering its flavour, and the climax as leaving audiences completely satisfied.
The team also shared that they set up a cloud kitchen during the shoot, where meals were prepared for the cast and crew. Whenever they were free from filming, the actors would spend time in the kitchen, eventually learning to cook as well.
While the three lead actors are at the centre of the story, they emphasised that the women characters play a crucial role in driving the narrative. The film also features strong family relationships involving parents, siblings, relatives and neighbours, making it a story that audiences of all age groups can connect with.
The actors expressed complete confidence in director Ramana Reddy Soma’s vision, saying the final output matched exactly what he had planned. They added that watching the completed film gave the entire team confidence that they had created a quality product.
They also revealed that Rana Daggubati’s team has already watched the film and suggested focusing the promotions in Hyderabad before expanding to other regions. Rana is expected to watch the film personally in the coming days.
The team credited composer Smaran for elevating the film’s emotional impact through its songs and background score. They also noted that the dialogues naturally blend Telugu with Hindi and Urdu, reflecting the way people speak in Hyderabad and Telangana. However, they stressed that the language has been kept simple and accessible so that audiences everywhere can enjoy the film.
According to the lead actors, Ameer Log is ultimately a story driven by emotions, and they believe those emotions will connect with viewers regardless of their language or dialect.
