SS Rajamouli is planning a major international rollout for Varanasi. The Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer is expected to be dubbed in around 50 languages and released across 120 countries. The team is also planning to use real voice artists instead of AI-generated voices for the different language versions. The team will sample the voices of 1500 dubbing artists for the final dubbing. The team is also strict and is in plans to use real voices and there would be no involvement of AI.
Rajamouli wants the emotions and performances of the lead actors to remain intact in every language. For this, the team will reportedly sample the voices of more than 1,500 artistes before finalising the dubbing cast. The language lineup is expected to include Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, German and Arabic, among others. Varanasi is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 7th, 2027 across the globe in a record number of screens and languages. KL Narayana is investing big money on the film.
