August started on a grand note with Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju starting on a grand note. The rest of the weeks have several interesting and big-budget attempts lined up. Here is the list:
Vishwanath and Sons: Suriya is stepping into the shoes of a family entertainer after a long gap. Venky Atluri is in terrific form with SIR and Lucky Baskhar. The trailer of Vishwanath and Sons looks grand, lavish and it is packed with family emotions. Vishwanath and Sons releases on August 14th during the Independence Day weekend. With no releases around and the film releasing during the holiday weekend, Vishwanath and Sons has fair chances to end up as a winner. The expectations are big and the bet too is quite big on the project.
Irumudi: Ravi Teja is struggling for a solid success. Irumudi is the next attempt and the released content is quite promising. Ravi Teja has done several regular commercial films and Irumudi seems to be a completely different attempt. Shiva Nirvana who can handle emotional content well is the director. Ravi Teja is working on a profit sharing model and the film is completed on a decent budget. The film’s success is crucial for Ravi Teja and Shiva Nirvana. If the film fares well, everyone will make profits. Irumudi is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and it releases on August 21st in theatres.
Toxic: Yash emerged as one of the biggest stars of the country after the KGF franchise. He has taken a long time for Toxic and the film releases on August 26th in all the languages including English. The trailer looked stylish and promising. The expectations are big on this Kannada film. Dil Raju is releasing the film in Telugu and there is a big bet involved in the film. Toxic should have an exceptional run to end up as a safe project. Geethu Mohandas is the director and KVN Productions are the producers.
