With just days left for its theatrical release, the team of “Chennai Love Story” held a grand press meet in Hyderabad on Tuesday, coinciding with hero Kiran Abbavaram’s birthday celebrations. Produced by SKN and Sai Rajesh under the Amrutha Productions and Mass Movie Makers banners, the film stars Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya in the lead roles. Directed by Ravi Namburii from a story by Sai Rajesh, the romantic drama features music composed by Mani Sharma and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on July 24.
Speaking at the event, actress Siri Hanumanthu said she was delighted to be part of the film and expressed confidence that audiences would enjoy its emotional love story. Lead actress Sri Gouri Priya described the film as an emotionally powerful romantic drama, adding that her character has multiple shades and that several key moments, especially in the second half, would leave a lasting impression on viewers. She also praised the presentation of the song “Vadalane” and called the film a sincere portrayal of pure love.
Director Ravi Namburii revealed that the conversations between the lead characters, Steven Shankar and Nivi, are among the film’s biggest strengths. He said considerable effort went into crafting meaningful dialogues and thanked producers SKN and Sai Rajesh for giving the team complete creative freedom. Ravi also explained that setting the story in Chennai naturally enhanced its emotional backdrop and overall atmosphere.
Story writer and producer Sai Rajesh appreciated Kiran Abbavaram for trusting the team from the very beginning and allowing them to execute the film without creative interference. He said the actor’s performance, particularly in the second half, would earn him widespread appreciation. Sai Rajesh also shared that he entrusted the direction to Ravi Namburii because of their strong creative understanding developed over the years. He added that Mani Sharma was brought on board to compose the music due to his ability to deliver quality work within tight schedules.
Producer SKN expressed complete confidence in the film and praised the performances of Kiran Abbavaram, Sri Gouri Priya, and the supporting cast. He also lauded Mani Sharma’s music and said “Chennai Love Story” would release in the highest number of theatres in the team’s career so far. SKN clarified that despite releasing alongside other films, the makers have full faith in their content and believe audiences will appreciate the film from the premiere shows.
Kiran Abbavaram described “Chennai Love Story” as one of the most memorable films of his career.
