A woman in Mumbai has gone viral after confronting a minister during a major political rally that caused heavy traffic congestion in the city. The incident took place on Tuesday evening during the BJP’s Mahila Jan Akrosh Rally at Jambori Maidan.
According to reports, the woman angrily questioned the leaders for blocking busy roads during peak hours. Pointing toward the minister, she reportedly asked why the protesters could not gather inside the open ground instead of creating inconvenience for daily commuters. Her strong reaction was captured on video and quickly spread across social media.
The rally was organized by Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies to protest delays in implementing the 2023 Women’s Reservation Bill, which proposes reserving one-third of legislative seats for women after census and delimitation processes are completed.
The woman’s outburst received praise from opposition leaders and many Mumbai residents who often face disruptions due to political events. At the same time, supporters of the rally defended public protests as an important democratic right.
The incident has once again sparked debate over balancing political demonstrations with public convenience in busy cities like Mumbai.
