NTR has been advised to take complete rest for six to eight weeks after suffering a shoulder injury. The actor is currently recovering at his home in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, where he is undergoing regular physiotherapy. Doctors have advised him to avoid work until he makes a full recovery. Due to his injury, director Prashanth Neel has temporarily paused the shooting of Dragon. The team has also cancelled its planned schedule in Sri Lanka, where a romantic song featuring NTR and Rukmini Vasanth was set to be filmed.
The makers are expected to resume shooting in late September or October, depending on NTR’s recovery. In the film, NTR plays an assassin named Luger in a story based on opium trafficking and drug wars. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with NTR Arts, Dragon is scheduled for a theatrical release in June 2027. The short production break is not expected to affect the film’s release date.
