Sankranthi is always the best season for Telugu films. This year, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu along with other films have done good business. All eyes are already focused on the next Sankranthi season which is almost six months away. Veteran Telugu actors like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna are targeting a Sankranthi 2027 release with their respective films. Apart from these, young actors like Sharwanand and Karthi are targeting to release their films during the holiday season.
Though there is no official confirmation, a bunch of pan-Indian films are targeting a Sankranthi release. Prabhas is busy with Fauzi and the team has plans for Sankranthi 2027 release. Yash’s long delayed film Toxic is now in the Sankranthi race. Suriya has pan-Indian plans with his next film which is directed by Aavesham fame Jithu Madhavan. If Suriya’s film misses the Sankranthi race, Rajinikanth’s next film is aimed for a grand release during Sankranthi. For now, there is a pan-Indian scare for straight Telugu releases which locked their release plans in advance.
