Ram Charan’s blockbuster sports drama Peddi continues its sensational run at the box office, achieving yet another major milestone. The film has now surpassed the worldwide collections of Suriya’s recent hit Karuppu (released in Telugu as Veerabhadrudu), becoming the highest-grossing South Indian film of 2026 so far.
Released as a pan-India entertainer, Peddi opened to strong reviews and witnessed exceptional collections, particularly in the Telugu market. While the dubbed versions delivered moderate performances, the film’s dominant run in Telugu-speaking regions helped it register record-breaking numbers worldwide.

With several big South Indian releases scheduled for the second half of the year, the race for the annual box office crown remains open.
