Varun Tej has finally responded to the controversy surrounding Korean Kanakaraju during the film’s promotional campaign. Speaking at a media interaction, the actor clarified that there was no intention to hurt anyone and said some comments made during the promotions were misunderstood. He said that the episode was shot in November last year and it was an imitation and not an insult for any actor. He also reminded about imitating several top actors in the past in his previous films.
The controversy had triggered discussions on social media, with a section of users criticizing certain promotional content from the film. As the debate continued, Varun Tej chose to address the issue directly instead of remaining silent. He maintained that the team had no intention of creating unnecessary controversy and requested audiences not to judge the film based on isolated promotional clips.
