Even with a packed acting schedule, Rishab Shetty has no plans to stay away from direction. The National Award-winning actor has confirmed that work on Kantara: Chapter 2 is already underway. He revealed that he and his team of writers are currently developing the script while he continues shooting for his other commitments. Rishab clarified that he will first complete Jai Hanuman, directed by Prasanth Varma, before moving on to The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Since both films require different physical transformation and challenges, shooting them simultaneously is not possible. However, the script work for Kantara: Chapter 2 will continue alongside these projects.
The Kantara franchise remains Rishab Shetty’s biggest priority as a filmmaker. He admitted that direction gives him peace of mind and said he cannot stay away from making films for long. Instead of waiting to complete his acting assignments, he has already begun shaping the next chapter of the franchise with his writing team. Apart from acting and directing, Rishab is expanding his production banner and is expected to announce two new projects later this year. Rishab Shetty is occupied with these two films for the next two years after which he will direct Kantara: Chapter 2.
