The makers of Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story have unveiled the film’s first-look poster on the occasion of Sourav Ganguly’s birthday, giving cricket fans an exciting glimpse into the much-awaited biopic. Along with the poster, the team also announced that the film will hit theatres worldwide on May 14, 2027, during an extended holiday weekend.
The first-look poster features Rajkummar Rao recreating one of the most iconic moments in Indian cricket history—Sourav Ganguly waving his jersey from the Lord’s balcony after India’s memorable NatWest Trophy victory over England in 2002. The image remains a symbol of Ganguly’s fearless leadership and the transformation of Indian cricket during his captaincy.
The biographical drama will trace Ganguly’s remarkable journey from a talented young cricketer to one of India’s most influential captains. The film aims to showcase the determination, resilience and leadership that helped reshape Indian cricket and inspired an entire generation of players and fans.
The film is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. It is presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, T-Series and DBL under the Luv Films banner.
