Top producer Dil Raju loved the script of Jatayu and he came ahead to invest big money on this fantasy film which bets big on VFX. Mohana Krishna Indraganti is on board as the director and Vijay Deverakonda was approached to play the lead role. Two years of extensive pre-production work was completed. Vijay Deverakonda walked out of the project due to his other commitments and Roshan Meka came on board as the lead actor.
The latest update says that Dil Raju has walked out of the project after he spent big money on the script and the pre-production work. Ashok Vardhan Muppa who produced Kalyanram’s Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi is now on board to produce this big-budget attempt. The film is expected to be made on a budget of over Rs 200 crores. The real reasons for Dil Raju’s exit are unknown and he may have felt that the project is not financially viable. Roshan Meka is currently shooting for Emo Emo Idi in the direction of Sailesh Kolanu and he will kick-start Jatayu from October. An official announcement will be made soon.
