A new romantic entertainer, Mohabbat, was officially launched with much fanfare on Friday, marking the beginning of a promising new project aimed at young audiences. Starring Santosh Kalwacherla and Shreyasi Sen in the lead roles, the film is being produced by Afroz Shaikh under the ABS Production banner, while filmmaker Mak is directing the project and also providing the screenplay.
The grand launch ceremony was attended by Chinna Srisailam Yadav and MLA Naveen Yadav as chief guests. The auspicious muhurtham shot was formally initiated with MLA Naveen Yadav sounding the clapboard, while producer Afroz Shaikh switched on the camera. The MLA also unveiled the film’s first-look poster, which has already attracted attention for its youthful and romantic appeal.
Speaking at the event, Naveen Yadav praised the efforts of the film’s team and appreciated producer Afroz Shaikh for encouraging fresh talent. He expressed confidence that Mohabbat would connect with audiences and wished the cast and crew great success. He also noted that the film is being planned for a Pan-India release and hoped it would emerge as a major success.
Director Mak described Mohabbat as an emotional Gen-Z love story packed with youthful energy and contemporary themes. He said the film has been designed to appeal to today’s generation while retaining strong emotional depth. Thanking the producer for his support, the director expressed confidence that the film would strike a chord with audiences across India.
Producer Afroz Shaikh said Mohabbat is the maiden project under the ABS Production banner and expressed strong belief in the film’s potential. He praised the cast and crew, stating that the project offers an excellent platform for emerging talent and quality storytelling.
Lead actress Shreyasi Sen said she was instantly drawn to the script and believes the film contains all the ingredients of a complete entertainer. Lead actor Santosh Kalwacherla highlighted the importance of music in a romantic drama and expressed excitement about collaborating with music director Sunil Kashyap.
Story and dialogue writer Kalam revealed that Mohabbat is built around strong emotional values and relatable characters. According to him, the film’s narrative has shaped up beautifully and is expected to create an emotional connection with viewers.
Apart from the lead pair, the film also features Ajay Ghosh, Sathwik and several other actors in important roles. With production now officially underway, Mohabbat is gearing up to bring a fresh, youthful and emotionally engaging love story to audiences on a larger scale.
