Sai Dharam Tej is likely to join the Sankranthi 2027 race with Sambarala Yeti Gattu. Producer K Niranjan Reddy is said to be planning January 12th, 2027 as the release date for the film. The date has a special connection with Niranjan Reddy and Primeshow Entertainment. HanuMan, which was also produced by the producer released on January 12th, 2023 and went on to become one of the biggest hits of Telugu cinema. The team is now looking at the same date for Sambarala Yeti Gattu.
Sambarala Yeti Gattu is directed by Rohith KP and features Sai Dharam Tej in the lead role. Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jagapathi Babu, Sai Kumar, Meka Srikanth and Ananya Nagalla are part of the cast. The film is being made as a period action drama with a pan-Indian release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
The film is being made on a reported budget of over Rs 120 crores making it one of the biggest projects in Sai Dharam Tej’s career. The makers had earlier plans to release the film during December 2026 but the plans are now shifted to Sankranthi 2027. The shoot of the film is now in the final stages and the makers are now closing the non-theatrical deals. The release date will be announced after which the theatrical business will be closed.
